Cobh Mixed National School (know locally as Bellevue School) has a long tradition of educating young people. Although the buildings date from the early 1800’s when they were used as the Parish school for the United Parishes of Cobh and Glanmire, they have been progressively modernised and updated in the interval, and now present a very attractive environment.
This tradition, of 200 years, has continued to the present day and we are proud that many of our past pupils who have gone on to be doctors, nurses, solicitors, care workers and teachers continue to support our school. We are indeed unique, in that one of our past pupils, a former hockey player, who played for Munster and is in her 87th year, continues actively to serve on our Board of Management.
We are a small school who work together to foster respect for all and encourage achievement in learning in an open and welcoming community, and in which children are encouraged to develop their talent and abilities to their full potential and to respect different religious faiths and cultures within our community.
