The Church of Ireland child protection policy is called Safeguarding Trust.

Under the law of the Church of Ireland, all parishes and members of the Church of Ireland are obliged to implement Safeguarding Trust and to adhere to it.
A full copy of Safeguarding Trust is available here.
All children’s and youth workers in the Diocese receive training in Safeguarding Trust.
In every parish there is a Parish Panel. Notices and posters are displayed in every parish building identifying who the members of the Parish Panel are.
The Parish Panel is the designated contact point for:
- a worker, parent or parishioner who has received a disclosure from a child that he/she may be suffering or has suffered abuse
- a worker, parent or parishioner who has concerns of a child protection nature relating to children’s work or youth ministry in the parish
- a child who wishes to report abuse
